vivo S50 Series Officially Launched: Fully Upgraded as the "Telephoto Live Essential"

On December 15, 2025, vivo officially launched the all-new vivo S50 series, including two new models: the vivo S50 and vivo S50 Pro mini. As a refreshed iteration of the S series’ aesthetic flagship, the S50 series features comprehensive upgrades in design, imaging, performance, and user experience. In terms of appearance, the S50 series introduces an all-new "Confession" colorway, incorporating the innovative Satin Etching Technology on the satin soft-glass back panel to deliver a delicate gold-in-white luster - boasting a softer visual appeal, smoother touch, and resistance to fingerprint smudges. Additionally, the vivo S50 is available in three other color options: Inspiration Purple, Leisure Blue, and Deep Space Black, while the vivo S50 Pro mini offers a curated selection of Confession, Inspiration Purple, and Deep Space Black.

The entire S50 series adopts an aviation-grade aluminum floating camera module paired with jewelry-grade high-brightness chamfer craftsmanship. The aviation-grade aluminum middle frame undergoes CNC integrated molding, precision sandblasting, anodization, and other processes, balancing sharp contours with a refined hand feel. It also features larger rounded corners, with micro-arc design added at the transitions between the middle frame, screen, and back panel for seamless integration.

Catering to diverse usage preferences, the S50 series comes in two sizes: the vivo S50 sports a 6.59-inch large display, with optimized internal layout achieving a near 1:1 front-to-back weight distribution—ensuring both an immersive viewing experience for binge-watching and gaming, and comfortable long-term holding. The vivo S50 Pro mini is equipped with a 6.31-inch compact display, with further reduced width and height dimensions, featuring a horizontal triple-camera setup and a near 1:8 golden ratio for balanced proportions.

In the imaging department, the vivo S50 series is fully upgraded around the positioning of a "Telephoto Live Essential". The entire lineup is equipped with the Sony IMX882 large-sensor periscope telephoto lens, offering a larger light-sensitive area and superior low-light performance, with support for up to 10x zoom. Combined with vivo’s self-developed Origin Image Engine and large-model image quality enhancement algorithm, it preserves intricate details and pure colors even in distant shots, backlighting, and complex lighting conditions. Building on this, the S50 series focuses on polishing the "3x Golden Telephoto Live" capability: at 3x focal length, it moderately compresses space, blurs cluttered backgrounds, and highlights human subjects - infusing street photography, travel shots, and daily portraits with stronger narrative depth.
